New Lehua Family members!

I am so excited to announce that we have some new family members. Yes, we were indeed foster failures. We adopted two of the most exceptional kitties ever.

Birdie came to our care because she had pectus excavatum (a condition where the sternum curves inward and restricts breathing). She needed to have surgery where her sternum was basically attached to a splint to pull it outward as she grew. It involved several visits and bandage changes and in the process we fell in love. She was such a trooper through it all.

Maya is all sweetness and love. She purrs the moment you touch her and who can resist this darling?

Welcome to the family.
